Gus Poyet is unsure whether Grant Hall will sign a new contract at Brighton & Hove Albion after admitting the defender is looking at other options.
Hall's current deal with Brighton is due to expire and he has been offered a fresh three-year contract to stay with the Championship club.
However, Sky Sports revealed last month that Tottenham Hotspur have shown an interest in the 20-year-old, who made three appearances for the Seagulls last season.
Poyet is still waiting for the promising centre-half to make a decision on his future and appeared gloomy regarding the prospects of Hall staying at the AMEX Stadium.
"It looks like he is still looking for other options," Poyet told The Argus. "He hasn't signed for anyone but he's got that option, because he is free.
"I am sure he is going to be doing things in terms of signing for the best team he can find.
"I think his development last year was very good. We used him when he was needed but it's up to him really. We cannot control it. It's not in our hands."re-half to make a decision on his future and appeared gloomy regarding the prospects of Hall staying at the AMEX Stadium.
