Mario Balotelli: A key figure for Manchester City and Italy

Roberto Mancini is delighted to see Mario Balotelli playing to his potential at Euro 2012 and insists Manchester City have no plans to offload the fiery frontman.
The Italy international appeared to be facing up to an uncertain future at the Etihad Stadium towards the end of last season after he saw red in an important Premier League clash with Arsenal.
Mancini conceded after that contest that he would look to move the maverick striker out of his squad.
He has, however, backtracked considerably since then and is prepared to offer Balotelli another opportunity to prove that he has the maturity to be a success in England.
His efforts at Euro 2012 suggest he is ready to accept that challenge, with a deadly double in a semi-final meeting with Germany offering him a shot at a Premier League and European Championship double.
Value
Mancini never doubted that the 21-year-old was capable of producing standout displays for club and country and is adamant that City will not be looking to cash in on his talents this summer.
"I am very happy for Mario, he has shown his great value and I hope he wins the European Championship," Mancini told Rai Sport.
"I think we absolutely will not sell Balotelli.
"The club has never thought about selling a player they have invested heavily in.
"Mario is a young player, the City fans love him, and I think it is highly unlikely that he will leave."
