Rangers have been offered a timely boost by the news that promising defender Chris Hegarty has committed his future to the club.
The teenage centre-half has agreed a one-year contract extension at Ibrox.
A number of players have refused to transfer their deals over to the newco, following the Gers' tumble into administration and ultimately liquidation.
Hegarty is, however, prepared to form part of the club's plans heading forward.
He is considered to be a hot prospect for the future and Rangers are delighted to have retained his services.

Extension

"Chris Hegarty has become the latest player to commit himself to Rangers after the Northern IrelandU21 captain signed a new deal with the club," read a statement on the club's official website.
"The central defender's contract was set to expire this summer but the 19-year-old has agreed a 12-month extension to his deal."
Hegarty made his senior debut for the Gers in a friendly against Linfield earlier this year, but is yet to make his competitive bow.
He was a regular on the bench towards the end of last season and will be hoping to force his way into Ally McCoist's thoughts during the 2012/13 campaign.
He joins Ross Perry, Kyle Hutton, Lee Wallace and Lee McCulloch in committing his future to the Gers.
