Hamburg's bid to sign Argentine defender David Abraham looks set to be complicated. Abraham's contract at Basel is due to expire and he has already agreed a deal to join Getafe, who reportedly want £3.3m in order to let him move on to Hamburg, whose general manager Frank Arnesen says is too big a sum.

Following on from Sebastian Boenisch confirming he will not be signing a new contract with Werder Bremen, the Poland international says he has been in touch with Stuttgart. Reports in Germany say a three-year deal could be agreed before Poland start their Euro 2012 campaign on Friday.

Denilson is waiting to hold further talks regarding his future as he nears the end of his loan spell at Sao Paulo from Arsenal. The midfielder admits he could sign a four or five-year contract with Sao Paulo, or merely extend his loan deal for a couple of weeks.

Brazilian midfielder Lucas Moura has been attracting the interest of some of Europe's biggest clubs and reports have recently claimed that Chelsea and Inter Milan have failed with bids. However, Moura says his 'dream' is to play for Real Madrid, although the teenager is happy at current club Sao Paulo.

Port Vale are set to receive a big boost after defender John McCombe confirmed he is happy to stay at Vale Park. McCombe says he received a 'few good offers' from rival clubs, but is now poised to sign a new two-year contract at Vale Park.

According to reports, French side Monaco are targeting a move for Tottenham Hotspur defender Sebastian Bassong following the appointment of Claudio Ranieri as coach. Speculation also claims that Russian clubs Lokomotiv Moscow and Rubin Kazan have shown an interest in Bassong.
