Scott Parker hopes England's efforts at Euro 2012 have helped to restore national pride and has hailed the impact made by new boss Roy Hodgson.

The Three Lions entered this summer's European Championship with expectations as low as they have been for some time, with past disappointments offering the public little to get excited about.
England have made steady progress under Hodgson, though, and, having topped Group D, are readying themselves for a quarter-final date with Italy.
Fading belief has been restored, with supporters daring to dream once more.
"Trust me, having the belief and support of everyone back home goes a very long way," said Parker.
"You don't want to be surrounded by negativity, or reading things that aren't nice so it was fantastic to hear 18 million people watched on Tuesday (against Ukraine).

Spirit

"There's definitely a spirit inside the camp.
"As a nation that is what we are known for. Ultimately, that's our base.
"I'd like to think we have that base back."
England have yet to taste defeat under Hodgson, with his five games in charge bringing four wins and a draw.
His approach is markedly different to that of predecessor Fabio Capello, with the Italian tactician ruling with a rod of iron.
Hodgson's regime is a lot more relaxed, and that has helped to bring out the best in a team that has underperformed for far too long.
Environment
"It's definitely an easier environment," said Parker.
"I've been in a few England squads, Roy's my third manager, and it's definitely more relaxed, not as intense.
"You can see that from how the players are and the way we're preparing for games."
He added: "The mix is right now. Every player has to be treated in different ways.
"But with this squad and the personnel here, the freedom we have is working.
"It's not football, football, football, which is more like the experience we have at our clubs."
