Sky Sports understands that two Glasgow property developers are lining up a bid Rangers.
Charles Green and his investors completed the purchase of the business and assets of Rangers on a newcos basis last week after failure to secure a Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA), meaning liquidation is now inevitable for the stricken club.
They are now hoping for the newco 'The Rangers' to be accepted into the SPL.
Despite only buying out the assets in the last week, Green has already rejected one bid - which came from a consortium fronted by former Rangers manager Walter Smith.
Now Sky Sports understands property developers Allan Stewart and Stephen McKenna plan to bid for the club.
Their plan is to run Rangers for two or three years before floating the company on the Stock Exchange and handing the club over to the fans.
The pair, who are using Glasgow company ALFTAV to front the bid, want to meet Green in the coming days.
