Chelsea goalkeeper backing Czech Republic to progress
Petr Cech is convinced the Czech Republic are capable of causing a shock against Portugal in their Euro 2012 quarter-final.
The Czechs progressed to the knockout stages after topping Group A ahead of favourites Russia and co-hosts Poland, with Greece in second spot.
Portugal saw off Holland 2-1 courtesy of a brace from Cristiano Ronaldo to seal their place in the last eight as Group B runners-up, but the Chelsea 'keeper has no fear of their next opponents.
"We haven't lost yet, of course you can beat anyone on a good day," he said.
"We definitely have a chance to advance. Its sport and anything can happen."
Excellent
Portugal finished second in Group B behind Germany, who have yet to drop points at Euro 2012.
Cech is mindful of their attacking arsenal and has warned his team-mates they are in for a difficult encounter.
"They are among the world's top ten teams," he added. "It's a team full of personalities and outstanding players, and they play very well.
"Against the Netherlands on Sunday, they were excellent up front. They also have enough experienced players. The team has matured and it's really strong."
