Chelsea are expected to confirm their new manager this week, with Roberto Di Matteo odds on to remain in charge of the club.
Di Matteo took charge of the club in March after Andre Villas Boas was sacked by owner Roman Abramovich.
Against all expectations, Di Matteo revitalised Chelsea and guided them to their first ever Champions League title - a long-term ambition of Abramovich.
The club also won the FA Cup, ending the campaign with two trophies, but despite this they would not be drawn on who their next permanent manager would be.
The likes of Pep Guardiola, Fabio Capello and Harry Redknapp have been linked with the role in recent weeks.
But now reports suggest that Di Matteo is set to sign a 12-month rolling contract to stay on at Stamford Bridge - which will be a hugely popular decision with players and fans alike.
The Italian is due back from a family holiday this week.
