St Johnstone will face Eskisehirspor in the second qualifying round for the Europa League after Besiktas' appeal was rejected by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
Besiktas had been banned from European competition by UEFA because of ongoing financial problems, but took their case to the CAS.
However, the CAS confirmed on Friday that appeal had been dismissed and St Johnstone side can now prepare for their two-legged tie with Eskisehirspor, a team based in the north west of Turkey.
UEFA also confirmed the first leg will take place at Eskisehirspor's 18,500-seater Ataturk Stadium on July 19, with the return leg at McDiarmid Park a week later.
Besiktas had originally qualified for the Europa League after finishing fourth in the Super Lig last season, but details of the club's financial problems later became apparent, including non-payment of salaries and taxes.
Following the rejection of their appeal, they must also pay a fine of 200,000 euros (£158,600), of which 100,000 euros (£79,000) is also suspended.
