Manchester United have confirmed veteran midfielder Paul Scholes has signed a new one-year contract and goalkeeper Ben Amos has agreed a three-year deal.
Scholes initially retired from playing 12 months ago before reversing his decision in January after missing the involvement of day-to-day football.
He played an influential role following his return to action and Sir Alex Ferguson revealed earlier this month that the 37-year-old had agreed to stay on for another season.
After being drafted back into the United fold on a deal until the end of the campaign, Scholes made his first appearance as a substitute in the FA Cup win over Manchester City.
Scholes went on to score four goals in 17 Premier League appearances as United were pipped to the title by City on goal difference after letting an eight-point lead slip in the closing weeks of the season.
The home-grown product has scored 154 goals in 697 games for United, placing him in third behind Ryan Giggs and Sir Bobby Charlton on the list of all-time appearances for the club.
His impressive form also led to calls for Scholes to be included in the England squad for Euro 2012, but new coach Roy Hodgson confirmed he did not discuss the matter with the player.
The midfielder had previously rejected a call from former coach Fabio Capello to play at the 2010 World Cup after retiring from international duty after the 2004 European Championship.
Meanwhile, promising keeper Amos has pledged his long-term future to United after signing an extension to stay at Old Trafford until 2015.
Amos made his Premier League debut for United in January in a 2-0 home win over Stoke City and was also involved in the club's Carling Cup fixtures.
The 22-year-old has previously been on loan at Peterborough United and Oldham Athletic, and may be sent out again next term to build up his first-team experience.
