Fulham midfielder Clint Dempsey is still targeting UEFA Champions League football, but is concentrating on the Cottagers for the time being.
Dempsey, 29, has one year remaining on his current contract at Craven Cottage and has reportedly been attracting attention from the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United.
He signed for Fulham in 2007 from New England Revolution and is now aiming to play in Europe's elite club competition.
No secret
"The transfer window is open until August 31 - it's no secret that I would like to play Champions League one day in my career," he said.
"If it's meant to be, it will be."
The USA international scored 17 Premier League goals for Fulham in the 2011/12 season and reckons he will give his all for the West London club until his future is decided.
He said: "What I do is focus on the teams that I play for and I give my heart to them, work as hard as I can to try to make the most of my time and make the most of the career that I have left."
Dempsey, who is currently with the USA squad ahead of Thursday's friendly with Brazil, was encouraged by national coach Jurgen Klinsmann last week to make the step up to a team playing in the Champions League.
