Frank Lampard is looking for England to take inspiration from Chelsea's achievements in 2011/12 and challenge for European Championship glory.
The Three Lions will arrive at Euro 2012 this summer free of the expectation which has accompanied their qualification for major tournaments in the past.
Few give Roy Hodgson's men much chance of taking the crown, with the likes of Spain, Holland and Germany considered to be the favourites for continental success.
Lampard, though, has spent the past few months upsetting the odds with his domestic employers - asChelsea saw off Bayern Munich to lift the UEFA Champions League trophy - and he sees no reason why England cannot follow suit.
He said: "It's been such a long time for us as individuals and for Chelsea as a club to win it. It was such a special thing. It will be something that people will remember with the best memories.

Positives

"I'm hoping the fact we've had such a success can help greatly with England.
"There are other people here who have won the Champions League before and other players who have had good seasons and are coming here in a rich vein of form."
Lampard added: "You have to try and bring together all of the positives.
"We will try and bring the fact we've achieved something this year, potentially against the odds with Chelsea, and maybe that's what England will be up against odds-wise this summer.
"We showed what can be achieved and there is nothing wrong with that feeling (of being underdogs) as long as we are focused as a group."
Lampard is sweating on his involvement at Euro 2012 after picking up a thigh injury in training, with a scan pencilled in for Thursday, but he is confident that England have the quality in their squad to challenge for top honours in Poland and the Ukraine.
Belief
He said: "We have to believe that we can go all the way. That's what we are here for. Every team in the tournament will say the same.
"There's a belief in the squad. Myself, looking around the players, you know that there is quality in the squad.
"We know if we can harness that unity and determination with the quality we've got, we have to believe we can go all the way. That's what we turn up to these tournaments for.
"We've had some good experiences in tournaments and you know how it feels when you get on a roll and the good feeling you get from that and good football you can play.
"As long as everyone is focused and determined and trains hard, I think we've got the quality in the team."
